Hello All!

I have been bit of a lurker on this site for the past few months but I have finally taken the plunge and put a deposit down on a second hand Fabia VRS.So I am an almost fully paid up and running member of the Briskoda community!

Will be picking up the car hopefully next week at TransCity,N London. It was registered June 04 and has 14000 miles on the clock for a pretty good price.Only downer is that it was a smoker who owned the car previously so there is a lingering smell plus even more annoyingly there is a burn mark on the drivers seat.I think the car was priced accordingly but even so .. Skoda Transcity said they would valet it and sort out the burn hole but I cannot see what they could about that. Any views on all this? maybe wrong thread if so I will start one on another section if need be.

Anyways ,its great that this website exisits,so hello to all again and no doubt I will be posting here in the future.

Cheers!

Hello and welcome.

Welcome :wavey

Regarding the smoker issue, get a ozone deodoriser which plugs into your car (12V)

sort out the burn hole but I cannot see what they could about that

just use it as an excuse to upgrade to leather seats ;)

Welcome :D

Hi Tim,

Yep already thought about that ;) ,though in my list of upgrades to be installed first comes the Eibach springs and dampers then possibly a light remap to around 150/160 bhp:D Also there is the 4 week delay without the car for leather seat upgrade and I just cannot wait that long!
