9mm EGR gasket

Featured Replies

Does anybody have a part number for the 9mm EGR gasket as fitted to pre 06 vrs

Edited cos i`ve gone mad.

25 mm gasket standard and causes stutter

9mm gasket, no stutter but not euro 4 compliant. Also if car is remapped you may have the engine management light come on.

14.5mm gasket is 9mm gasket drilled out and retains euro 4 compliancy although you may still have the stutter, just improved.

Part no 028 131 547B

9mm gasket

i thought it had a 14mm gasket , and its the 06 on that has the 9mm ?

or was 14mm what they drilled the hole out too ?

The 9mm gasket is bored out to 14mm yes to comply with EURO4 regs. But wasnt the 9mm specially produced to try and cure the problem and then found it wouldnt pass emmisions?

incompetence

You can get around this issue via vag com by altering the egr duty cycle.01 engine electrics 11 login code 12233 then 10 adaptions and select block 3 record the setting and reduce the number until it wont let you go any further and save the new value, then goto block 1 again via adaptions and record the value for fuel balancing and then increse to maximum and save. You now have kick *** acceleration and reduced egr cycle.Keep the original settings save and reset the same way if your not happy.

You can do it but it wont meet emission regulations which is why the gasket isnt allowed under warraty conditions.

This part number definitely had a 9mm hole when I bought one three weeks ago.

You are right. I`m cracking up. 9mm is the one you want. Not 25mm as that is the one that is fitted at the factory and causes the stutter.
