Engine management light winge.

Featured Replies

I have a Fabia 16v 100bhp Ambiente on a 55 plate.

All was well for about 10 mths then it developed the "engine management " warning light problem which other people here seem to have. The light comes on and stays on for no good reason.

The car goes back to the dealer for the 6th or 7th time tommorrow.

Both exhaust probes have been changed and last time the "wiring harness" was changed? don't ask me which section.

It seems to last about 6-8 weeks before recurring.

The dealer really does not know what the problem is and neither do Skoda Technical Dept.

Another thing was the boot refused to open. The rear washer feed pipe had been leaking, dripping on to the boot release switch and rotting it. So if your rear washer pressure looks a bit low or you can see a slight whiteish stain (from washer liquid) around the boot catch hook then look out!

And I've also got the "squeaky drivers seat" thing - another known problem!

Happy motoring to you all, I'm going out on my Suzuki Bandit 1250 bike for some completely reliable motoring - never had a problem with a bike yet, and Ive had a few.
