Fathers MK I focus needs the radio removing for the purpose of getting the car kit out and changing it.

I put the keys in they locked in place, I gave them the usualy pull and they just come out minus the radio.

I tried to give the radio itself a push as I was doing this, but still no joy.

Am I missing something here?

You have to pull the keys outwards towards the car doors when they lock in. It should just slide out.

Same with the Mondeo Not sure if it's designed like that or just poorly made though

I agree with Tom, pull outwards.

Took my mates out of his MP3 not to long ago with coat hanger removal tool.

Also drop the glovebox, you can push the stereo from the back.
