Featured Replies

Got myself a power mod of tinternet well its a resistor actually it says it goes across the two wires in the air flow sensor only the new octy has 3 wires any ideas plz.

any ideas plz.

Yep put it in the bin and regret wasting

get a remap and don't blow your car up.

If Stu says put it in the bin then put it in the bin!. The 2.0T FSI is a complicated engine and not something you want to be changing with cheapo tat.

Ah, the old Power Resistor of Doom :D Haven't heard of those for a while.

Good advice above. Best thing you can do is put it back on fleabay for a tenner this time and hope you find someone else who hasn't heard of them yet.

Oi - Less of the cheek, I seem to remember you needing a favour this week lofty!! :D

Hi -techie guys - saw the Corsa bit ,made me think -that mod's ot modelled on the insert resistor in air inlet heater line as in Vauxhalls - which did give a bit of power ( or so i'm told) and reduced the MPG even more ??

:o

I agree, bin it and put the cost down to experience.

All this does is make the engine think it's running cold all the time, and richen up the mixture, causing poor fuel consumption and emissions, bore wash, and possibly disguising any real engine faults that develop.
