I've ordered

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I was tempted by an old Fabia style VRS, but I ordered a new fabia.

I'm changing from a T reg Nissan Almera, which is like sitting in a bucket.

Fabia 3 1.9 TDI

+ Satin Grey (which is a nice blue)

+ Black interior

+ ESP + ASR pack inc disc brakes

+ Middle headrest

+ Sill covers

+ Tyre pressure monitor

+ Multi functional module on steering column

I test drove the 1.4 TDI first. Very nice on the motorway, but I found the low gears for slower driving too higher geared, seemed to stuggle at times. Tried the 1.9 TDI straight after, what a difference.

The only few problems I found were:

- The front arm rest is useless except for holding items. It interferes with the gears and doesn't seem long enough when cruising.

- There does seem to be a bit of role on bigger corners.

- The seat is a bit high at the front and never seems to go down (I'm a shorty). So i've not found a perfect driving postion yet. However I can drive the thing nicely. Really easy to handle.

- Took me ages to figure out reverse (push down).

I've ordered the car for September as I'm in no rush.

Dear STU,

2)you must try several times to park before taking the measure of this car, she's really big for me, that i was used to 3,70 m, passing to 4m !!!

3) i'm 1,71 of height, i assure you there are other cars ( e.g fiat punto) where it's impossible parking without parking sensors.

Raising the seat the situation goes better, but pedal of the clutch force me to fold tha ankle too much.

you must find a compromize.;)

1) i'm agree about the arm rest, i've not ordered my fabia with it.:)

good waiting of your new fabia

Nevskij

well done on your new purchase, seems like a nice list of extra's.

Oh welcome to Briskoda.

Only driven the 1.2 Fabia 2 but I was quite impressed

Welcome to Briskoda

Welcome , your new Fabia sounds really nice , I await pics with anticipation! Only 8 weeks and 2 days to go!... ;)

Hope you enjoy your new car when you eventually get it.

The Fabia 3 in 1.9 TDi format is top of the range for the moment!

Another new Fabia.

The numbers are slowly growing!

Welcome to Briskoda. Enjoy the new car when it arrives.

Hi peeps,

Picked up my Fabia today.

Everything seems ok. Except... The upper glove box is very very hot, even after the car has been not started for a while. I think the lower glove box is staying on. Also the fuel flap clip is rusting a bit.

So my intro to Skoda not the best, but only small things, so should be sorted easy.

Nice!

I've not posted here for a couple of years, but during my absence my bronze Fabia saloon has continued to serve me well...until 31 August when I sold it.

I have today ordered a new Fabia. I went in for a Fabia 2 automatic...sorry Tiptronic...but signed up for a 3. Change of mind was initiated by my question about the maxidot, which is an option on the 2 but standard on 3. Also the 3 has front fog lights (which my old saloon had) and (in my opinion) a more classy interior.

I've gone for anthracite grey, after almost picking the satin grey. They had examples of both in the showroom.

Now I'm going to get fit again as the car won't be ready till the back end of November :( .

Nice looking car , Stu! That colour suits the shape well.

Hi, back again,

I got the hot glove box fixed today, a plug wasn't connected or something like that.

The rusty clip needs a bit of grease on.

I really like the cruise control.

Thanks for a comments.
