Service interval change ????

Featured Replies

I had a service at 55k which i switched from variable to fixed.

I noticed now that the service indicator is counting down now on 57k

What i need to know is how do i reset the interval to 65k

If i use the old key in press and hold routine will it set to 67k ??

I've had a look at ross techs guide's but they are a bit confusing for my limited brain power :o

You know Im new to VAG COM mate, but i was curious to have a play with mine.

Have you done a dash rest at all yet ? Reason i ask, once done you might be able to go into the channels below and change the 10k to 8k. Not sure if the channels are the same for fixed servicing.

or thinking about how the variable is set up, i had a look at the channels Lummox posted in the other thread, Im sure by changing these values you should also be able to achieve what your after till the next service.

Then next time just do a dash reset.

Below is the Milage since last service, in your case you would change this to 322 (3220km, 2000 miles since last service)

Below is the days since last service, set this to a close as you can remeber doing the service. (e.g. 30 days ago)

2-1.jpg

Min Miles to next service, you could set to 11 (11265km, 7000 miles)

3-1.jpg

Max Miles to next service, you could set to 13 (12874km, 8000 miles) or even Min & Max to the same at 13

Maximum time before next service, just set this to 365 days.

Variable Oil selected is 2, You select 1 for Fixed Oil.

Oil consumption, not sure what this is. Must be something to do with the amount of oil passing through the engine. Dont think it will do harm leaving it on the current setting.
