Arb??

Featured Replies

hi,

over the last couple of weeks a creaking has started from the front suspension...ive flicked through some old threads and this seems to be due to the ARB...

i would like to upgrade this if i need to replace it...what would be the best to upgrade it with...including droplinks and bushings...

Thanks:cool:

Blimey - a rear 25mm? Seems very chunky - who's one is that?

neuspeed

Hi

Ive just replaced my front 19mm standard 02 octy vrs arb with a 22mm neuspeed bar and ive bought a 22mm rear adjustable whiteline arb from Julian at balance motorsport

Im no expert on suspension but if you are upgrading the front you better fit a rear as i only have the front bar fitted at the moment and the car turns into corners very quickly nearly caught me out the first time and im told the rear will even it up .

Give Julian at balance motorsport a call he is very helpfull

Most companies certainly advise you to fit both.

However, I fitted a 25mm SAS one to my old Saab and it pretty much eliminated understeer and never really felt wrong, so I think it can depend.

You have to be careful when fitting front and rear....going too big at the front will negate the benefits of upgrading the rear.

I had the Neuspeed 28mm adjustable on the rear with the standard front...arb was set to middle setting and it was pretty neutral. Must be said I also had KW3 coilovers....although the ride height was smidge under standard.

Now I never get this right but...if the front is too stiff in relation to the rear you'll get understeer...and vice versa...if rear is too stiff then you'll get oversteer.

I'm sure someone wil correct me about this though.
