Special tool for removal of drain plugs on VRS

Featured Replies

Hi all. Need help please. have askoda fabia vrs 2004.

I need to buy the special torq security spline tools to remove the gearbox oil filler and drain plugs on the above car. have been told that the snap on one is to big and can not use on the vrs model as not enough space to get in and use it.

Any where else that members have bought the tool/ tools from they can recommend...

thanks and await your replies:P

If you do a search on here, I asked the same question and got a several helpful answers.

In the end I ground down the end of an M16 splined bit which fit in just enough to open up the plugs, then put the plugs in the lathe and removed the central security part. Could have used a drill press tbh...

Another option would be to (very!) carefully dremel down the central security protrusion while the plugs are still on the car and use any old M16 splined bit....
