Angel Tuning Vs Jabba Vs Revo

Featured Replies

whats the best map to go in terms of bhp and torque figures, also general drivability .... also has anyone had problems with their standard clutch with the power hike?

Cheers

Go for Jabbasport. Depending on where you live. I'm in London, and would always use Impossible. Personal preference, search the companies.

Jabba for me, and I'm not just saying that because I'm trying to organise a group buy :)

See this thread in the maintenance and performance section, if you're interested, or want more detail.

Mapping is very subjective.

Do plenty of research, lots of info on here. The Jabba GB prices are good and Mike Trulock is a good mapper.

Unless you are prepared to go down the route of a new clutch, maximum torque is not always the best route.

Others such as REVO/AMD offer a switching feature.

As already said, it all depends on what you're after. If you have to travel far, then the benefits, be it perceived or real, of that must outweigh the pain of having to travel if there is a minor problem with the map.

As the 1.9PD130 has been about for quite some time, even the generic maps tend to be pretty decent, if you want a map that gives you the power/torque delivery you prefer, then a custom map is the way to go :)

Remember that the peak bhp and torque figures are what is used to sell the map and be wary of overly generous rolling roads ;) I'd be looking at dyno plots from the tuners and going for the one with the greatest area under the lines (ie the one with the most power most of the time).

thanks for the replys! the Revo switching feature sounds pretty funky, shall look into that.

I cant really find any dyno print outs on the net, but would be interested, and yeah area under the graph is more important than peak figures, more useable and steady output (if its flat-ish of course) im stupid lol haha :) cheers all

im leaning towards jabba however as they are close by and get good reviews.

For standard remaps then I'd choose the closest reputable tuner to me.

If Jabba are close then without a doubt choose them. You'll wonder why more companies aren't as helpful as them and you certainly won't regret it.

Where abouts are you located?

We are VAG group mapping specialists, (please visit seatcupra forum, tt forum etc etc for reviews)

All our maps are offered with an engine diagnostics check prior to mapping. We can also offer a Dyno run before and after if you wish
