Removing side rubbing strips??

Featured Replies

I have looked in the search function and seen that a few people have gone down this route. I have de-badged my car and as it is 3 years old the glue took a loooong time to remove. Is this the same with the strips??

Does anyone regret doing it due to dinks from other careless drivers?

i used white spirits last time to remove the glue...any other products??? preferably that are easy to find and buy!

Cheers guys.

Smoother look outweighs risk of dinks. Not personally suffered any yet, and mine's been destripped for around 2.5 years.

There should be a thread of mine showing how I removed the strips - The piccies may not be hosted any more though....

Oddly, this week I picked up a new set of rubbing strips for the missus' Furby Classic this week, to go on once the dents and paint in the door are sorted next week.

The best product to remove any kind of glue from decals, badges etc is ......................petrol!!!!!!!!!!!!! Easy to get hold of and works wonders.
