Scrapyard scavenging again!

Featured Replies

Went back to visit the two poorly furbies again this morning. I was after a few things.

1) A jack - got one.

2) The removable bit of trim under the handbrake. Found it in the car I got the trim from. Must have left it there by accident when I got all my trim in the first place.

3) front left wheel arch liner. My one has disintegrated again! :(

4) offside foglight panel - DAMN well forgot this while I was there.

5) topleft blank switch from dash, as my new trim came with heated seats switches. Got one.

I actually find it oddly satisfying looking over the remnants of fabias seeing what could be useful. They are both fairly complete under the hood so if anyone needs anything from a PD100 1.9 TDI elegance, or a 1.4 auto classic - let me know :D (apart from bodywork :D)

should have said you needed the blanking plate as i could have given you mine when i got those heated seat switches off you:thumbup:

So, have you tried to retrofit heated seats then? I assumed you wanted them as spares/replacements.

I actually didn't know I'd need them, but as I've now removed my defunct lpg gauge (still trying to get that to work properly  ) I figured I'd return the switches to oem again (aside from my "other" one on the right hand end :D)

not yet its getting sorted when the doorcards get retrimmed,i wouldn't have bothered but swmbo wanted them in,getting the rears done too,not sure where to put the switches for that yet but i will sort it,if you come across any standard zennons on your travels drop me a pm as they are on the to do list too, just trying to get it lowered and wheels on plus the colour coding done for harewood house but its not looking likely now as i'm on holiday as of thursday for 3 weeks so problems with me not realising how long it would take to get the kit screwed that one:D

what colour are they jason?

i really need a front bumper in cayenne red is anybody see's one kicking around

One's bluey grey, the other is dark blue, and both front bumpers are well mashed. :D

Is the dash tray in the Elegance by any chance?

I did see it, but the fascia had come away and I noticed a drawer was not sticking when pushed back, so considered it dead.

Fair enough, cheers
