What's going on with my VRS?

Featured Replies

Hey folks, just had my 03 plate Fabia VRS serviced at my local garage. It's on 67,000 and only problem was a warped disk on the drivers front which was replaced under warranty.

However, after a receiving the car back it has developed a stutter when accelerating hard at 80 in 5th, 85 in 6th and 90-95 ish in 6th. It almost feels like it is miss-firing. An ECU problem with the fuel pump maybe?

Also, whilst you jolly useful bunch are looking why does my heater stay on full heat? What do I need to tell my garage so they can have a look at it properly? Is it sticking heater flaps or something like that? If so, where are they located and is it something that I can sort out?

Many thanks, T

The heater problem will be your flap motors sticking or stuck.

The full heat on the heater is a stuck flap motor. You can reset this with a VAG COM. If that fails then a new flap motor maybe required.

As for the Stutter im unsure, but i know the fabia suffers with one.

Take the car back to the dealer about the stutter. They can pull off the codes

it may even be down to a dodgy batch of diesel, especially if the car has been ok till now.
