Rear window motor broken

Featured Replies

Forgive my naivety and probable lack of preciseness in this qn, as I am not a car man!

I have an Octavia (V reg) with electric windows... 2 years ago the back left window slid out of its settings and was remounted by 2 of my friend,s and this time it's happened again, but the component which drives the unit has snapped in 2.

The window is currenlty wedged shut using a combination of a) a plank of wood and some tape!

Now the question is what bit do I need to replace? I enclose a photo of it, to assist the more eagle eyed forum members, and where is the cheapest place to get one from?

I live in COventry, UK if that helps

Cheers
