im going bto be fitting a amp in my 2000 octavia and cant find anywhere to run the amp main power from the battery does anyone know where i can run it through the firewall is there gromits there for runing cables

There is a grommet by the pollen filter under the scuttle pannel, but make sure you get a good seal in there afterwards, otherwise you will end up with rain water sloshing around in your passenger footwell......
