Curtain Airbags and babies

Featured Replies

After some thought I've decided to add these to my spec. I'm asuming they are safe with a baby seat fitted with the isofix in the back.

Anyone else done any research ?

Primarily their function is to stop heads hitting the glass in the event of side impact.

Got them on my Mk2 BECAUSE we're starting a family. The Euro Ncap site actually had a vid showing an Octavia with curtain airbags and child seats. That was the clincher for me!

Can anyone see any probs in adding it to my spec ? Jon seems to think it should be ok as I only ordered last week.

Car to be built sometime in September I think.

After seeing cars in NCAP tests without curtain airbags and subsequent tests with them fitted I will always spec them if not standard.

Skimping on cheap document holders, non damped grab handles and lack of bonnet lifters is one thing but don't do it with safety kit please Skoda :nono:
