Just been looking at remaps (again) and have been wondering why are generic ones so expensive? I can understand custom ones as time is spend making the changes on top of the initial development, but all a generic remap involves is uploading pre-build code.

The kit is quite expensive, you also pay for the knowledge and expertise of the mapper.

There is a lot more to it than just cost.

I guess you pays the money you takes your choice but knowing what i know i wouldnt even if i wasnt in the industry buy the cheapest option i would do some research!

Its all a load of ******** really. Most remappers buy in their "own branded" generic maps from someone else (Usually German or American) and tweak it to suit their needs. I'd be amazed if ANY of the remappers could genuinly prove that they diddnt start off with someone elses map and work from that.
