Hello guys

At what mileage should the timimg belt be changed on my Octavia Elegance 4x4 1.8T. What else should I get done at the same time (water pump etc.?)? Where to get it done? I live in Manchester want the job done good but am on a budget...I have been to Awesome GTI and was impressed by the level of work and set up.

60,000 or 4 years which ever is soonest.I would have the waterpump replaced at the same time whilst there there.

Its not the same but costs should only be a little more for an Audi TT and a user on a TT forum did a bit of research....

Roughly three hours to do.

Dealers do recognise the water pump as an issue, we replace with an apparently modified water pump. However I'd still fit a metal one on mine.
