Total Closure

Featured Replies

Does anyone out there know if there is total closure on the Octavia VRS's. If so how do you activate it? Bloody annoying when you leave a window open when you turn the ignition off and a passenger gets out first and you either have to open the door and lock it with the key or turn the ignition on again. I know it would be smart to shut them first but we all have bad days don't we.

nothing with the key? Used to be able to on vauxhalls a few years ago.

If not you get the option on Clifford alarms :)

AFAIK it isn't possible with the convenience unit. However, you can buy an aftermarket unit (think Tavia4x4 has one) which adds that functionality. Alientech is what its called IIRC.

Are you talking about the convenience system which makes it possible to open and close the electric windows, and close the sunroof, by holding the key in the unlocking or locking position until all the windows are open or closed? It's explained on p10 of the Octavia owner's Manual.

Thanks for the tips. Really surprised that there were responces so quickly for some reason.

The bit in the book didn't seem to work for some reason. Maybe I bought a turkey, but it's still so much fun to drive. :D

Thanks again.

By the way, I was hoping to do it off the remote. Holding the key does work. I probably didn't explain it properly and I definataly did'nt read properly.

Looks like it's an add on then.

Cheers anyway.

There is no way to do this from the remote, you will need to either buy an an alarm that has this function or buy an alientech controller, or put key in door lock and hold in locking position.

Alientech controller does work quite well, sells around
