Buyers Advice Please

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm thinking of buying a Fabia vRS and was wanting some advice, would you say this was a good deal with the Reg, Mileage, Optional Extras etc?

*** Skoda Fabia Vrs 2005 - Black - Factory extras *** on eBay Skoda, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 150145112751 end time 31-Jul-07 23:11:49 BST)

My real concern would be that the Vehicle is just over 170 miles from where I live and wouldn't be able to view it first.

All comments would be helpful.

Many thanks

Thanks Stu,

I think it said that it's due it's 35k Service, is that a Major Service? what intervials should the car be serviced??

Is there a way to check the Service History without driving to see the car ( probably a bit of a silly question really) or as I assume I'd need to check the Service Book in person.

I've read that the wet floors can be a bit of a major problem, is that on all the vRS Models? or just on certain Years? i.e. 05 plates??

I presume the Wheel Bolt Key is for the Locking Wheel Nuts??

As for HPi Check, I agree with you there, just waiting to find out what the Reg is so I can do that.

Again many thanks for your reply.

You should look to see that the book is stamped up properly.

Fabia vRS servicing can be a little confusing. It is 10k miles or Annually whichever comes first. So it shouldn't be due one at 35k unless it's coming up to an annual one and it's not had a 10k one in the preceeding year.

The Fabia has wheel bolts not nuts, there should be a silver coloured adaptor in the boot tray.

The wet floors seem to randomly crop up so it's worth checking.

There isnt a 35k service so I would think its due an annual inspection if it not following mileage.

Damn it, he actually beat me.
