Just seen my first new style fabia as i was going home, got to admit it was a little like a London taxi but obviously it was a black one. Because of the fact I ws driving in oppsite direction dod not exactly get chance to see properly but will keep a look out

I was in the dealers the other day picking up some mats for my 04 Fabia and had a look at one at close quarters. They look enormous, more in the Golf class than the Polo class size-wise. Very handsome motor from the back, but I'm not a fan of the way it looks at the front - prefer the old model.

I agree. I think they look very poor from the front - something to do with the lights I think. Also, it's really tall at the front too. Can't be very good for parking visibility.

I hope the vRS version is better!!!

I just saw my first new style Fabia yesterday - a courtesy car at work. Apart from seeing a couple on display, I have never seen any on the road at all yet.

Also, I have just been in Hamburg for ten days and saw a greater proportion of old Fabias than in the UK. But again, no new Fabias anywhere.

Not that well , I would suggest. I was talking to my mate who is a salesman at what was our local Skoda dealer when the Fabia I was introduced , and he said that he'd been on the phone to the Skoda dealer he gets parts off now when they have one in for a service (Silbury in Cramlington IIRC) he said it was totally different than the Mk1 launch. When the Mk1 was launched , he said , "We had an empty showroom , with no cars to sell , we were begging them off other dealers" , from what was said that day , that definately isn't the case with the MkII.

Noticed in What Car? that the VRS version is scheduled for mid 2008.

seen about 3 in london about 2 weeks ago. a few are popping up here and there, down here. and roomsters are everywhere! keep seeing a few everyday.

There wasn't an article about it, but in What Car? magazine they have like a calender of upcoming car release dates and it just stated mid 2008 for the Fabia VRS.
