Fitting a suspension kit ?

Featured Replies

Is fitting a suspension kit to the Fabia a fairly easy job ?. I'm thinking about fitting a Weitec kit to my car. A few years ago I fitted a kit to a 6N Polo and it was a straight forward job.

I had a look at my car and I can see that the top strut nut is recessed into the turret, so you can't get a ring spanner and allen key on it ?. Is the bottom of the strut easy to remove ?

And finally there doesn't seem to be any adjustment for the camber at the bottom of the strut like there is on the older Polo, so there's nothing to get aligned once you've fitted it ?

It is an easy job, but I'd recommend getting the hub opening tool to make getting the bottom of the strut easier. And getting the 4 wheel alignment checked is recommended after doing the job - mine didn't need any adjustment however :D

I remember Mr Stu reverting your Fabia back to standard Chris...........don't think he was a happy bunny at the time.......;)

There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears that day. His fault really for not having the correct tools for the job ;):P:rofl:

A harsh lesson learned I think!!! :P

Alternatively you could order it direct from your VW dealer - Mine cost just over

Thanks for the input chaps.

Anyone here have the Weitec springs ? I found the Eibach's on my Polo rather harsh.
