It's Clean!!!!

Featured Replies

For the first time in 6 months i thought i'd treat my much loved Fabia VRs to a clean!

Make the most of it folks, 6 months till the next one!

It took the guys at the car wash half an hour to remove all the dirt.

It's only been cleaned once in 6 months????

Mine gets cleaned and dried every week!!

Then perhaps a polish and wax once a month.

I'm afraid i am poor, one step away from a cardboard box if you know what i mean.

Carboard box? Luxury! .....we grew up in a swamp. (one for the monty python fans there).

I imagine the car took some cleaning though after 6 months of neglect. Poor thing. :o

You're so poor, you pay someone else to wash your car for you.

How much can a bucket and soap really cost... ;)

Yes, i am also in "ill-heath" too, and struggle when bending down.:orb_blue: :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Bring it up to Berwick , I'll wash it for nowt for ya , but I may need to take it over the by-pass a couple of times 'just to dry it off'...... ;)

I think that's terrible - you should give it to someone more appreciative. So once Dmac has given it a good drying :D please send on to ................

Then we can have two - one for wet days and one for dry

Like what we have:D

Seriously though, if the bloke is ill, and can't bend down, washing a car, and suffering for a week afterwards, is just not worth it ( speaking from personal experience )

Apart from that, if it's only 'muck' and not bird poo, the paintwork will be like new when cleaned, in fact, if you never clean your car ever, only to remove corrosive substances, like tree sap etc, the paintwork 'should' never deteriorate.Everytime you wash it, you scrub some of the protective coating off, no matter how small an amount.

So Ner.

( Having said that, my car is bald, or near enough:D )

Does it only get washed every 6 months in winter too? Think of all the road salt.....

If that is so I am genuinely sorry to hear of it.

Would not wish illness on anyone.

At least you got a brill mota

My knees creak a helluva lot when it comes to bending down and cleaning the alloys (cos they need cleaning 2 to 3 times as often as the body) - but that's just old age :thumbdwn:

Aside - cannot believe Mr Grumpy being nice / commiserating. I think the imposter has returned.

Yes, it's one of the few things in life (along with pies) that make me feel great!

Thanks for the offer, bit of a long way from me though!

OMG!! My knees click everytime i bend my legs, and always have done ever since i can remeber. Please dont say its old age, im only 20 :(

I love washing my car - and the pride of having it gleaming black is second to none, but when you live in the countryside like i do, when you spend 4-5hours making it look spotless, it only takes a 5min drive to undo all that hard work, its soo dishartening i tend to only wash it every few months in the winter, its just not worth it other wise.

I long for the day i live in the city, and when its washed it stays looking clean for weeks... Actually i'd hate living in the city, swings and roundabouts. :p
