Offside Damage To My Car

Featured Replies

Whilst reversing out of my garage, I caught the offside of the car around the bottom of the wheel arch and front bumper hence leaving some paint damage.

Now, a quick question - I have used a body shop before, did a great job but very expensive.

A friend recommended ChipsAway : welcome and he used them to have some paint work done on a year old Golf last year.

I have two questions:

1) HAs anybody any experience of them

2) What do you recommend?

Cheers

Ive used chips away on my MR2. Couldnt tell the difference after, but i know some who dont get a perfect finish from them.

How bad is the damage. I did a simillar thing to my old merc reversing out the garage. You maybe able to just polish out any damage, I managed it on that car as all the damage was on the surface.

Isn't it just so annoying?!!!

It's disasterous, but a couple of the scuffs have gone too deep to not have a proper job done on it.

I've used Chips Away and was very satisfied with the finish, and particularly satisfied with the price compared to other local body shops who wanted to do a more comprehensive job replacing parts etc.

Have also heard that regionally the quality varies due to the franchise nature of them so try and get some local feedback before using them if your worried.
