PD/130 Car Insurance

Featured Replies

I have phoned Esure about my new car details ( getting a 54 Reg Vrs next Friday) and the bloke said was it the PD or 130, I said 130 so I was charged

The guy doesn't seem to know what he's on about. The 100 and the 130 are both PD. The PD100 is just a TDi and the vRS is the PD130.

Call him back and tell him he's a ****. :D

Which insurance company have you gone with?

Steve

we've mentioned this before. Insurance companies seem to have 3 different flavours of vRS - none of which is an SE

Esure, already with them and the cheapest I can get.

Have you tried Adrian Flux.

After spending 2 hours ( yes 2 bloody hours ) on the phone with Direct Line, they have now supposedly updated their database to include the Fabia vRS SE.

At first I was told they wouldn't insure it, then was told the online quote I got was wrong, then If I came off the insurance it would be cheaper:confused: , and finally, after supplying a letter from the wifes employers to say she has had a company car, it worked out cheaper than the Octavia.

Figure that one out.....

They haven't. When I tried to get a quote on Monday night it wasn't in the list. Slightly worrying as my current policy is with Direct Line and I want to swap it over when I pick up my new Fabia vRS SE on Saturday.

UPDATE: Still not on the list (09/08/2007)

It's crazy isn't it. These people do car insurance, therefore you'd assume they would keep on top of new cars etc being released as it's their job.

Especially considering it's such a rip off.
