Coolant leak

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have the regular coolant leak problem on the 1.4 16v engine. Having searched previous posts I found that the leak is diagnosed as the seal that goes between the thermoswitch/ fan switch and the rad.

I do not have a Skoda dealer near me therefore I'm wondering if someone could please tell me the part number of this seal so that I can order this part from either my VW or Seat dealer, as i'm aware the Ibiza and Polo models share the same parts.

Any help appreciated regarding the part number for this seal.

Thank you

Hi, either just tell them your engine type and year of manufacture, or pass out these details and someone can give the p/n from ETOS or EKTA.

Engine is 1.4 petrol/aircon and is a 2002 model. I wouldn't think it is engine/model specific, its just a little piece of rubber really. My local VAG part shop don't know what im on about and said to give them a part number for what i want - bit useless of them if you ask me:thumbdwn:

Any info on the p/n greatly appreciated.

Anyone know?

Just spoke to my local dealer and he believes there is no seal needed for it. It simply screws straight onto the radiator without anything in between, however from previous posts on there is definetely a seal.
