I think I know the answer to this, but I'm thinking of buying some secondhand Subaru alloys (correct 5x100 PCD) to use on track. They are fitted with the awesome Bridgestone RE070 tyres but I doubt the 8J wheel wwith a 53 offset will clear the struts. Will they ? If not, would it be possible with spacers ? If it's too much hassle I'll just get some track tyres for my standard alloys as I use steelies daily.

An 8J may well cause a few problems. The std vRS wheels are 6.5.

Some 20mm spacers should sort the offset issue.

Just missed out on some for 100 quid :( They were for newer Scoobs with the 5x114 PCD.

I have 8x17 ET35 with 215/40/17 on my Fabia Combi, and it`s lowered 30mm.

I haven`t got any problems with rubbing etc.
