Cruise Control & Heated Seats Question Please

Featured Replies

Hi all

I was wondering if when you use the CC on a vRS ( say on a Mororway ) & you were to set the Cruise to say 70mph, you then speed up a little to overtake someone & then let the Car slow down naturally (without braking), will the CC kick back in at 70mph or would you have to set it again?? I can understand that if you tap the brake the CC turns off.

My other question is, if you bought a 2nd hand vRS without Heated Seats, is it possible to get them fitted afterwards? or would the whole seats have to be replaced ( I quite like the idea of Heated Seats, but not too sure yet (Got to find a vRS in my price range yet :holmes: ) )??

Cheers

MarkT.

You would probably need to have the heating elements installed in the seats themselves. The wiring is probably there tbh.

Cruise control will attempt to get the speed back down to 70mph once you lift off the throttle.

Seat wise, you'd need the heating element, relays, switches and wiring.

from vw is available a spare part 000-998-381, retrofitting seat heating in golf (1j) and passat (3b ) kit, dont know if it will fit a fabia/octy but it has everything except the right switch. will not fit recaro seats .
