My octavia's steering wheel is aligned incorrectly. It is only slightly out, but holding the steering wheel level would make the car turn right slightly.

what's the cause? is it costly to fix? should i just live with it?

Sounds like when the alignment/tracking was set, they didn't lock the steering wheel in place. Any tyre/wheel alignment place should be able to sort it for you for not much dosh - 20 quid or so.

The simple answer is tracking or wheel alignment. Most tyre centres will laser align your car for around
