Planning on oil change for 1.9TDI and wondering:

what the difference between fully or semi synthetic?

As my Fabia is now done 110k, should I buy additional oil additives or is it a waste of money?

Any thoughts on Millers XFE-PD SAE 5W-40 (semi-synthetic)

Please also recommend me a cheap but good oil filter.

The car was supplied from the factory with a fully synthetic oil (Fuchs Titan SuperSyn PD, I believe). Some folk have used Millers semi-synthetic oils for years quite happily.

Don't bother with oil additives.

Check out oilman's posts for chapter book & verse on oils.

The OEM filter is cheap, esp from GSF or Eurocarparts.
