2.0LtrT long life service

Featured Replies

My car is set to long life service but after 7000 miles and 1 year it is calling for service. My guess is that is has not been set to long life and its coming up for 1 year service....My question is.....Can a remap (superchips) have changed the service settings? or does it not touch them perameters?

If on fixed servicing I don't think it tells you when to get a service, does it?

The service indicator came on when 1 year old to the day!

Mine went in a few days before 1 year, with 8400k miles, so obviously it is a real nanny car if you leave it over the year! But even with lowish mileage, a year is probably long enough for oil life unless you are on the expensive long life synthetic stuff. But then the light would not have gone on at 1 year - they seem to get well over 20k out of that oil. I opted for fixed annual service with a good semi synthetic oil.
