My sisters 1997 P reg Felicia GLX 1.6 est doesn't have the airbag light on when the ignition is switched on - I have checked the fuse, and changed it - all ok. Don't understand why it might have stopped working,

Could be the bulb in the dash? AFAIK time to worry about airbag is when the light stays on after starting the car?

After having my steering wheel off yesterday to take the dash off i now have my airbag light on!

I must have put something back wrong or forgotten to connect something up...

Will have another look in a couple of days when i get my new rev counter and will fit that at same time.

If you have had the airbag off then the light will need resetting.

And it is just a bulb in te dash so could be blown.

think I've read somewhere before that it can b reset by disconnecting the batter for 10 mins or so... is this true.

And yeh agree about the bulb blown theory.. just means taking the dash apart, fun fun fun!! lol

Sounds like great fun! :-( Why is it such a pain to take it apart? Favorit one was slightly easier, and they went and made it more complicated!

so how do i reset the airbag control unit? Do i need a proper diagnosis unit?
