Has anyone else had this?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else has had this with their vRS? It happens mostly when the engine is cold after being left overnight but when you pull away in 1st and the revs are low theres a hell of a knocking noise from under the bonnet. It does happen at low revs in 2nd too but its more obvious really in 1st. Had it back to the dealer who thought it was the air pipe to the turbo hitting the engine cover but ive since had the cover off and it still does it! Cant see anything obviously loose or anything either. Any ideas are greatly appreciated - thanks a lot

Joe

I get a little bit of one

use more revs when pulling away and see if its any better

yeah it does work a bit to use more revs but to actually stop it altogether from cold im revving the t*ts off it! to be honest it doesnt bother me a great deal, so long as its nothing too serious:)
