Replacing vRS carpet with darker option

Featured Replies

I remember seeing an interior picture of a vRS which had the entire carpet replaced with a darker version. I've done a quick search but can't find the original post and pics (I mainly came up with posts about soggy carpets and dirty carpets!)

Can anyone help with the product code/s and a rough idea of price (or the original post / pics)? I'm fairly sure that from memory the Elegance models have a dark carpet from having driven a work car.

Thanks in advance.

Elegance with dark dash has dark carpets..

I'd get one from a write off personally.

fingers crossed for more rightoffs. but without harm to their owners obviously

Thats the one, cheers guys. Looks loads better and not too pricey either, think I'm going to incorporate it into my next service.

are there no good carpet cleaners that we can use. surely its cheaper and will give you a sense of pride when its sparkling

I find that 1001 works wonders (I use it on the seats too) along with a wet-vac. The thing with pi55es me off, is getting in with wet feet (if it's raining) and instantly needing to spend ages cleaning the carpet! I just find it impractical for every day use. Also, if the cream carpet is out it means it will be in better condition when I come to sell the car :)

In all honesty, I can't really say I've ever been a fan of the colour carpet, hence the idea to change. Its not really an issue with cleaning, just the colour. I'd quite like darker pillar plastics too..

god i want to do this and it seems most other vrs owners do.

Is their not a company doing an aftermarket carpet in propper black?

if not why not!
