Hello and help!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, after skinning my knuckles at the weekend whilst fitting my new bass tube (i know don't take the pee :) ) i discovered that unfortunately the boot supply was picking up some form of pulse and gave me the option of a pain in the **** direct feed from the battery or the fuse box. Does anyone know of an easy route from the battery to the boot, it's a 2000 estate, no dangling it underneath answers please! or if the fuse box option is easier, whenever i see screws and dashboards i get sweaty palms and wonder how many of the screws will i have left over at the end!! So over to you peeps, anyone done this or am i just going to have to cut and scratch my hands to bits?

If you do a search under the ICE section there is a write up on getting a power cable through the bulkhead.

The other alternative is to take one from the fusebox.

Theres a switched and a live feed under the dash above the pedals.

Remove the cover above the pedals, 2 screws and 2 clips and you'll be able to get to it ;)

I would check the draw of the Bass Tube before you run it from the fuse box. If you want to get decent amount of bass then you usually want a nice thick power cable for a clean supply. Look in any ICE magazine and you will see huge thick power & speaker cables running round the car. You won't want anything daft but just check with the supplier or a local ICE shop for a recommended gauge

Cheers, it's nice to know someone can give me a hand!

Nice 'How to', Rob

Could have sanded down the edges of the wood though. Tsk Tsk, attention to detail 2 / 10 :D

Go from the buzz bar above the pedals or if you want it switched there should be a couple of blank switched supplies at the top of the fuse panel on the drivers side next to the door. hope this helps
