Buying Alloy Wheels - I'm Confused

Im looking to buy some alloys for my Fabia and I've seen a 17" alloy and tyre package but I'm confused over what tyre sizes I'm supposed to have. Also Im confused over all this stuff about spacers and other technical stuff mentioned on sites. Can anyone point me in the right direction of what I'm supposed to be looking for?

You wouldn't normally need spacers unless you wanted to widen the track or fit wheels that weren't designed to fit your car.

Your wheel PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) is probably 5x100 which means 5 bolt holes in a 100mm radius.

Size depends on personal choice, in general the larger the wheel the smaller the tyre sidewall or profile.

If you increase size too much you'll affect your speedo readings as you will change the rolling radious of the wheel.
