My car has been in to have my console bushes changed and they rang me to say that they changed my EGR valve gasket as it was leaking gas. what the hell does that mean? does it affect performance? iv had it 5 months and have only done 7000 miles!! :confused: :confused:

EGR - Exhaust Gas Recirculation

Basically allows exhaust fumes back into the cylinders to 'burn' again, designed so engines can meet new emission standards.

I wouldn't worry if they've fixed it, doubt it'll do any harm leaking anyway. If you've got a newer fabia thye may of changed it to prevent the stutter on some BLT engines, search for stutter.

I doubt it, the only way to fix it is to sort it yourself.

Picked it up earlier and the stutter has gone so im very happy. You can bet tomorrow when i drive it i will notice the stutter again! lol
