I am gussing oil sensor is broke as light and warning beeps come on randomly, however the oil not long been changed and topped up. Anyone else having this problem it very anoying every time the beeps go off. In garage on tuesday

Been in to be checked and apparently it is sensor broke gonna have to pay or replacement as not warranty covered ..............

just happened to mine random oil warning light, oil level ok, going to check in to garage next week hoping it is something simple like a sensor with mine too.

Same thing happening to my Skoda MFI. I was told by AA not to drive the car long distances until problem fixed. Would you recommend I go to Skoda dealer? - Mamamzee

Happened to mine the other week when it was really cold.Was unsure why it should be on as filled it up that week. Looked in the manual and saya it will blink if oil is too cold! Sure enough after the journey turned the engine on then off and hey presto was all ok.

Freeborn tell me the reason the light is coming on intermittently (and now more frequently) is that the service indicator had not been reset (as my last service was in June) and it was telling me I needed a service, which is only due on 15th November. All because somebody forgot to set the service indicator last time.

What clever cars we have these days! At least I don't feel I am ruining the engine by driving it now!
