Warranty Question Please

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm thinking of buying a vRS from a Skoda Dealer which is around 80 miles away (it'll probably be an 04 plate) anyway I believe the car would come with around a 3-6 months Warranty on it, so here's my question, if I did find anything wrong with the car in that time period, would I have to take it back to the Dealer that I bought the car from or would I be able to take it to any local Skoda Dealer??

Many thanks in advance

MarkT.

If it's a dealer warranty (normally the last year of a car's 3-year warranty) then you'll need to take it back to the dealer. If it's manufacturer warranty, then any approved garage within the dealer network will be able to do sort out the problems and liase with Skoda HQ.

If it's a warranty that's being offered with the sale of the car, then it's likely to be dealer.

Thought year three is by skoda uk, therefore surely its any skoda garage.

Most used car from skoda garages come with a minimum 12 months skoda warranty, not sure how comprehensive this is or whether you need to get the work done at your supplying dealer. The skoda website should cover it all. :)

If it's Skoda 'approved used' then you'd expect 12months warranty

Many Thanks all!!!

Mine came with a 1 year Skoda dealer warranty. Any issues I just took it back to where I got it from. Although I wasn't happy with the smoke coming out of my VRS so I phoned another dealer to book it in, they said I would be charged for any investigation work if no fault was found!!
