No more Fabia Elegance Estates left

Featured Replies

Went to the dealers yesterday, looking for a replacement for my Fabia Estate. I wanted Elegance spec - on Monday they thought there were 2 left in the UK, but yesterday they confirmed that they've all gone.

So if I want a new Estate, either I have to get a Bohemia Spec (which isn't bad but I'd miss things like heated mirrors), or wait till the Mk2 Fabia is made in an estate (dealer reckoned May 2008!), or get a Peugeot 207 SW.(expensive and a size smaller than the Fabia in the back seats and boot).

or get a Peugeot 207

Had a 206sw to get me to the airport once, really struggled with 4 adults and luggage.

Had a big *** Magane for the ride home, was much more use than the 206.

Both hire cars so where totally open for abuse.

Or buy one second hand?
Yes - I may do that.

(Although the dealer's advertised prices for 2nd hand low mileage ones don't seem to be much of a saving on new).

Have you tried any of the online internet brokers? They might be able to source you one and get you a saving at the same time....

Hmm - good idea..

Presumably it wouldn't be from a UK dealer though (otherwise it'd show up on Skoda's system)?

I guess you'd have to ask them where it was sourced from. They might be given an allocation of xx cars by Skoda so they would show up on the Skoda system as "bought"?

Among others, try:

DrivetheDeal

Also, Motorpoint may be worth a look.

Drive the Deal do UK cars only, you collect the car from a Skoda dealer. :)

Motorpoint specialise in imports at excellent prices.

Thanks for your advice folks.

According to the dealer I can still get a new (old-style) Fabia Elegance after all..

They don't have any in stock but I can still order one (although I'll have to wait for it to be built).
