Painting parking sensors

Featured Replies

Hi

After many years of lurking on this forum, I've finally gone and put a deposit down on my first Skoda - a silver vRS II! Exciting stuff, but I'll have to wait a few more weeks before delivery! (pics will be posted, of course :) )

Got almost the spec I wanted, but had to compromise on rear parking sensors as I figured I can fit them myself fairly easily.

Looking at the official skoda kit, I would want to colour-code them. Is it safe to spray them? Will skoda sell matching paint as a spray, or am I going to have to make do with a touch-up kit?

Should I be laquering them after painting? any help appreciated!

You can spray them with a can (have done many times with the Skoda cans).

great - thanks. i should be able to get onto it fairly easily then. i'm not gonna pretend it's swmbo who needs them, it's me - i'm crrrap at parking!

I presume all the access required for running the cables is behind lower boot trim? I've been searching the site for a how-to, but not found anything yet..

It is a pretty straight forward job.

Here is a link with a how to from a Greek forum.
