Has anyone had any experience fitting these and do they actually work? They talk about decreasing lag from the turbo but do they? Or is it promotional you know what?:confused:

Diesel turbos dont get that hot, hence them only having oil cooling rather than oil and water like petrol variants.

I was looking at the below page at some products and saw the heat shield for turbos

Exhaust and turbo heatwrap, not really worth it on a diesel i'd say unless you have a farking great turbo on there.

I think even on a huge turbo it's not that important.

Mine doesn't generate EGTs in excess of a normal turbo, and keeping it hot may actually not help it in the long run. Freeing up the exhaust a fair bit can help with spool-up.
