When I turn on the ignition, the ECP light appears and stays on until I turn the engine on. Is this normal? The car's manual says that the light turns on for "a few seconds" when the ignition is turned on. Should the light go off after a few seconds BEFORE I start the engine?

The ECP light stays on until the car starts - nothing to worry about.

Got the same model, and mine does the same - it's how the manual has been written, as per Big Mikey nothing to worry.
