Anybody with Xenons replaced their mainbeam bulbs with the above mentioned? If so, any better?

Been toying with the idea since they were launched. i didn't want to commit 'til i got an independant assesment.

I did whack a set in my father'in'laws S**treon Pigsa**ehole. He seemed suitably impressed, Fortunately i've never had to drive it since then. :rubchin:

Dunno about xenons but ive got some on my normal lights as my dipped and theyve made my beam pattern quite strange. think they need re-aligning

If you're after main beam bulbs, I'd recommend the Philips Rallyes :D

I've got some to fit, as main beam alongside my factory xenons. I've only had them about 3 months mind!

When I get round to fitting them, I'll let you know :) But, as Chris says, if you want a tried and tested updated solution: Rallye!:D

Just checked Powerbulbs. Not too sure about the Rallye's. I used to run 100/80w's in my Mazda, fantastic amount of light, But was lucky if i got 6mths out of a set. And it wasn't a 5min job to change bulbs:(

I've not had a car long enough with Rallye's fitted to offer any longevity stats :D

But Chris will pop back on with some figures, I'm sure

Only experience of these bulbs is on the MR2 as dipped beams. Here, they provide excellent output, an improvement over the Osram Silverstars that were in there before.

I ran the Rallyes for a year in the Fabia and have had them in the Mondeo 2 years and 2 months. Never had one blow yet (touches nearest bit of wood!) They tend to get used quite a lot too as I work out in the sticks :D

Just to add I'm also running the Philips Xtremes as my dipped headlight bulbs and I'm very impressed with them. More light output than the Silverstars I had before and a better spread of light. Because they're only 55W, however, they don't have the same "grunt" as the Rallyes.

Phillips Nightvision GT150 are nice
