Quick Detailer

Featured Replies

Just a quick question.

Which quick detailer that you can pick up from a real store rather than online is good for use on a natural waxed car to make it shine again but also won't scratch the paint.

Meguires, I think

I have some of the Meguiar's Quick Detailer. Seems to do what it says on the bottle :D

Is that the quick detailer in the red bottle or the NXT stuff?

Ta

I go with Meg's as well Mark. Have a look on their website, Meguiar's UK - Car Care Products and the list of UK distributors. There may well be a motor factors, or similar, near you that stocks their products.

Not sure if Halfrauds stock the entire 'enthusiast' range these days or not? Worth a look I suppose :)

AFAIK, there's not a NXT version, just the 'standard' QD. Yeah, it's in a darker red bottle.

Answer is it varies, but chances are you will be able to.... if not you can order it online when you get home

Chris

They usually have a stand with show prices on some items. Worth a look.

I stand corrected. I only use QD when claying, and use Last Touch at the end of a wash, when drying, and use it when I need to get deposits (bird muck etc) off between washes.

Steve

I have some megs QD - You can try it out on Sunday if you want. :) I need to get my car polished beforehand though.

Hi Jason,

I'm just after giving the car a quick clean up after the drive up to trax. I'll probably give it a proper clean on the saturday, but if i can't get any I wouldn't mind the use of a bit of QD :)

Is the NXT fine over wax as opposed to synthetic as reading it i wasn't sure?

I'll have some Last Touch with me as well Mark, should you want to compare/contrast :)

I find it's better than QD as a general 'speed detailing' product. It also works out cheaper, and can be diluted 2:1 if required.

Yeah, last touch diluted with RO water so it doesnt leave steaks is excellent. 8 litres worth for about
