anybody here installed Milotec Speedometer rings?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've bought the Milotec Speedometer rings (137/01) for my O1 ...

... and I wanted to install them but I encounterd a very persistent piece of plastic

The black piece of plastic that you should remove "with light downward pressure" doesn't want to come off.

(step 3 in the manual http://www.milotec.de/pdf/octavia/137_01.pdf)

The top and the sides are no problem but the bottom part just above the steering column just doestn't want to come off no matter how hard I push, pull or "apply downward pressure"

Anybody encountered this as well or knows the trick? I have the 2004 facelift version...

Cheers

never mind, I found it... apparently the bottom part of the black plastic has 2 plastic clips which you just need to push with a screwdriver to get them loose...

make mental note: always do this **** during daytime so you can see what you're doing :-))

cheers
