80k service!

Featured Replies

just been looking through my service book and it only says cambelt for the vrs should be done at 100k.

Im not even near the 80k service atm, but it only says the petrol engine should be done!

any ideas, who has had an 80k service and was it changed?

cheers

ben

vRS cam belt is changed every 60k or 4 years, whichever comes around first. If yours has not been changed yet then for gods sake get it done.......

Ignore what the books says, it has changed a couple of times since Skoda first printed them.

New Skoda advice is 60k/4 years whichever arrives first....

right cheers guys!

How much do you think it will be for the cambelt on its own?

It varies.......for the cambelt (and waterpump - recommended as they can fail and are situated together) to be changed normally comes to about

she is on 71k atm

Ok, so it's just had a lube service done then I assume at 70k. Did that include the annual inspection? Not that it matters really I guess. Just get the cam belt and water pump done as soon as and sort the rest out later. ;)

mine was an '05 and the cambelt was due at 80k.... (or 4 years)
