what are the servicing intervals for vRS?

Featured Replies

Guys,

as above, just wondering when I get mine, shall I factor in a free service for the equation.

Also do you get proper mats with vRS in general or do you have to buy them?

10,000 miles/ 12 months is the servicing.

And yes you get vRS mats with the car.

Hi,

Not sure if people have noticed but there's quite a few vRS's on AutoTrader that state the car has FSH, but when I call them ( Can probably tell I'm after a vRS myself ) and say an 04 play with 31k on the Clock should have had or coming up to it's 4th Service with it being 4 years old, you'll find it has so far only has 2 Services with it only doing just over 31k!!!

Think most people this it needs a Service every 10k & not annually, there's one also that's done 51k/2 yrs ols & has only had 2 Services, so think again they must think the car just needs a Service every year!!!

Very weird!!

Cheers

Doesn't the dash tell you when it needs a service?

Sometimes.

But it is 10,000 miles for a lube service and an inspection once a year (that can be a 20k if its due or an annual service).

This appears more complicated than I thought then. I believe you can set the service indicator to either fixed OR variable service. The proviso being that for variable service you use the "long life" 506.01 oil?
