does anyone know where i can get a power upgrade for my octavia 1998 1.9 tdi. seems to be lots for newer models but not ther older ones.

This seems to cover all ages of engine as the TDI 90/110/130 were only found on the Mk1 Octavia. The 1.9-105,2.0-140 and 2.0-170 are specific to the new Octavia.

This is of course presuming you are looking at the tuning box option.

Avoid the cheap 'n' nasty "tuning chips" that go for £30 on fleabay as all they are is a resistor that fools the ECU into thinking it's colder outside than it really is thus sending more fuel to the engine irrespective of anything else going on.

You could try JKM in Portsmouth as they are close to you but they apply a Revo map to you ECU and I have heard that the Revo maps are quite inflexible should you take the car somewhere else at a later stage.

I just had my Octy 110 TDi re-mapped at Impossible Performance in Rochester, maybe a bit too far for you but highly recommended and the difference is amazing well worth doing wherever you go but go for a custom map, Impossible did a custom one for mine and made sure they didn't over do it to prevent any excess wear and tear on the gearbox, clutch etc. Had it done a couple of weeks ago now and very pleased.

Your could always go to jabbasports. I think they would be able to to a custom remap for you and you get 10%. Sounds like a winner to me.

I have the octavia rs 2003-03 model with 210 ps abt version.

Does anyone know how i can increase my horse power from the abt version 210 ps to 250 apx, which parts i must replace and also the program i have to put on.

I am listening many many things and thoughts from different persons and i have been so much confused and i cannot decide which thoughts i can listen to.

Pls if some one can gives me any help to my questions i will be greatfull.

I have to mention that so far since i have bought my octy i have not replace or made any modifications and right now i am around the 36000 km.
