daym noises!!!!!!!!!!

Featured Replies

Right, ive lived with it long enough. My Vrs started making a "sqeeking" noise from the front. It seriously sounds like a mouse is trapped. (all kids pets acounted for  ) Ive given the radiator a "wobble", its not that, ive pushed the car down at each wheel and the suspension doesnt make the noise.

If I turn the steering to the right when standing still it does it and when driving at low speeds.

I dont think its any kind of belt because its the wrong kind of noise.

Any ideas? PLEASE!

Exhaust bracket possibly,

The middle section one, jack the car and have a look if it is still in one piece. If not take to kwik fit or similar and they should be to repair in about 15 mins.

Shouldn't cost that much

Thanks for the quick reply.

I had the car up on the jack this morning, all brackets are fine, no movement and no noise!! :finger:

Any more?

Mine had a squeak which sounded similar, it turned out to be a brake pad problem, the pad was touching the disc slightly all the time and squeaking. It was worse when turning the wheel and went away when pressing the brakes slightly. This wouldn't account for the noise when standing still though.

Is it related to the road speed/engine speed or neither?

Its only doing it at low speeds ( less that 10mph or so) or stood still and turning the steering. I fitted grooved black dimonds and had new pads about 5 weeks ago but they have been fine. I dont think its brake related.
